Privacy, in plain language.
Wheelie needs your choices to make a wheel. Zebra Collective does not create user accounts, receive your wheel entries, or store your voice recordings.
Information Wheelie uses
You can type choices or optionally use the microphone. When voice input is enabled, audio is sent to the speech-recognition service provided by your operating system so it can return a transcript. Depending on your device and settings, Apple or Google may process speech on the device or on their servers. Wheelie uses the returned transcript to build the wheel. Zebra Collective does not receive or retain the audio or transcript.
Siri and Google Assistant
If you invoke Wheelie through Siri, Shortcuts, Google Assistant, or an app shortcut, the platform processes your request and passes the relevant text to Wheelie. That processing is governed by Apple’s or Google’s privacy terms. Wheelie does not use that text for advertising.
On-device intelligence
On supported Apple devices, Wheelie may use Apple’s on-device language model to group a spoken list into meaningful choices. The model runs on the device; Zebra Collective does not send the transcript to its own server or to a third-party AI service. Other devices use Wheelie’s local rules instead.
Storage, retention, and deletion
Your current choices are handled locally in the app and normally disappear when the app process ends. Text handed off by Siri is stored locally only until Wheelie imports it. Wheelie keeps your selected color theme and whether you completed the voice introduction until you reset or uninstall the app. Wheelie has no account system and does not sync wheel entries to Zebra Collective. You can erase entries in the editor, reset app data in supported device settings, or uninstall Wheelie to delete its locally stored data. Standard device backups may retain app data according to your operating-system and backup settings.
Advertising and consent
Wheelie uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to show an adaptive banner. Wheelie 1.0 does not request Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission, does not access the IDFA for cross-app tracking, and disables Google’s publisher first-party identifier before initializing ads. Google and its advertising partners may still process information such as IP address, device and app information, consent choices, and ad interactions to deliver, limit, secure, measure, and report ads. The exact use depends on your location, device settings, and consent selection. Where required, Wheelie asks for consent before requesting ads and provides a “Privacy choices” control in settings. Permissions
Microphone and speech-recognition access are optional and used only when you ask Wheelie to listen. You can change permission access in your device settings. Internet access is used for platform speech services when needed, consent messages, and advertising.
Service providers and safeguards
Apple and Google process information as described above under their own terms and privacy commitments. Service providers acting for Zebra Collective are required to use information only for the described purposes, protect it appropriately, and comply with applicable privacy law. We do not sell wheel entries or voice transcripts.
Children
Wheelie is a general-audience app and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
Your choices and questions
